Photo London 2017 launches its third edition at Somerset House celebrating past, present and future photography.

A plethora of galleries and talks will be presented throughout the weekend, including the annual Master of Photography exhibition with Taryn Simon, an immersive virtual reality installation by Mat Collishaw, where viewers are thrown back to 1830’s photography, and an exhibition by filmmaker Isaac Julien revisiting his 1989 film Looking for Langston.

Photo London co-founder Michael Benson said: “This year we secure Photo London’s position as the global event of the year for everyone interested in past, present and future photography.”

This year’s simplified layout will see 89 galleries presenting at Somerset House, and talks with various artists including Queen’s guitarist Brian May discussing his passion for stereoscopy. Magnum will also be celebrating their 70th birthday with a curation from Martin Parr and David Hurn.

Photo London 2017 is running from May 18-21 at Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2R 1LA
