Level: Beginners Plus & Intermediate

Like many global city centres, London’s skyline continues to experience a significant facelift. The developing diversity between the old and the new creates a rich collection of geometric, axial and juxtaposing elements for young image makers who enjoy the relaxing process of photographing architecture. During this four day workshop participants will visit four different locations, all having strong architectural content. A fresh assignment will be given each day to help flesh out ways of looking and rendering architecture by camera. By the end of the week participants will have a body of project work, which documents in various ways the spirit of this change.

Who is this for?
While this is a very good general course, teens interested in examining architecture more closely as subject for photography or future architectural pursuits would largely benefit. The course is heavily based on composition so participants with graphic design and art interests would also find this stimulating. DSLR and iPhone formats are acceptable.

This course can be used as a Skill for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.
